David Lynch’s Festival Of Disruption will host a ‘Twin Peaks’ VR Experience

Showtime and Collider Games have teamed up to present the first ever Twin Peaks Virtual Reality experience for David Lynch‘s Festival Of Disruption LA Edition. The filmmaker’s annual festival will be hosted at the Ace Hotel next weekend, October 13-14. The initial lineup was announced a few months back, but the new VR exhibit is a just-announced event that’s sure to get die-hard Lynch fans hyped up.

The surreal world of Twin Peaks will be brought to life with Twin Peaks VR. The immersive experience will bring the surreal world of the series to life like never before. It will allow players to travel from iconic settings and moments from both the original series as well as last year’s revival series. Sites and sounds from the landmark TV show will finally give fans the chance to do something they’ve always wanted: experience the bizarre horror of the Red Room. As per the press release:

“Players will travel to Glastonbury Grove, only to end up in the puzzling Red Room. Fans of the series will follow in the footsteps of Special Agent Dale Cooper and try to make their way back into the life they left behind.”

The VR experience is being developed for HTC vive and Oculus Rift and will be available on Steam.

Twin Peaks VR adds to an already incredible lineup of unique events. The music portion of this year’s Festival Of Disruption is led by Wu-Tang Clan founder RZA. He’ll be re-scoring the 1978 kung-fu film The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. There will also be a Q&A  from David Lynch himself which will feature John Horn (NPR’s The Frame) as moderator. Francis Ford Coppola will be also doing a Q&A following the screening of his 1996 film Jack.
