Earl Sweatshirt announces new album ‘Some Rap Songs,’ drops new track “The Mint”

A few weeks back Earl Sweatshirt started teasing his return to music. Which came as not too much of a surprise, but still something we were very excited about it. His last full length I Don’t like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside came back in 2015, which feels like so much longer ago than it actually is. Needless to say, the tease to a return resulted in the strange new single “nowhere2go.” We got word that the full LP was on the way but it had yet to be officially announced. Until now.

Today, Earl Sweatshirt shared the news we’ve all been waiting for with the announcement of his upcoming album. The new album is simply titled Some Rap Songs, which is just as good a title as his previous full length. The new LP is headed our way next Friday, November 30. So we don’t have much longer to wait to hear what we’re going to assume is a weird as hell hip hop record.

Alongside the initial announcement, Earl dropped another track from the project with “The Mint.” And yeah, based both singles he’s shared, Some Rap Songs sounds like it’s going to be quite a surreal yet enthralling project. Well know for sure real soon.

Until then, give a listen to “The Mint” down below. Also, just beyond that you’ll find the cover art for Some Rap Songs (the tracklist hasn’t been shared just yet).
