Hodera dedicate new single “Hey Ana” to National Suicide Prevention Week

Hodera have always been outspoken about the seriousness of mental health. Last year, lead singer Matthew Smith used their song “Four White Walls” to open up about his own struggles depression. This year, the band is honoring National Suicide Prevention Week with a new track called “Hey Ana”.

Upon releasing the song, the band shared the following message via social media:

“It’s National Suicide Prevention Week and we wanted to take this opportunity to help spread awareness and hope to those suffering with suicidal thoughts. I (matthew) have been hospitalized a few times and have had a long history with mental illness. All of us in this band know at least one person who has decided to make the ultimate sacrifice. This is an issue that we feel needs to be talked about more openly. I hope this song speaks to anyone who feels the same way. All the proceeds will be donated to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the nation’s largest non-profit dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.”

All proceeds from the single will go toward the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The track is name-your-price, so help out the band and this great cause however you can.
