Judah & The Lion are currently in the midst of slowly rolling out their new album Pep Talks, which arrives May 3 via Cletus the Van/Caroline. We’ve already heard a few singles from the 17-track LP, and now they’ve dropped yet another with “7000x.”
Speaking about the track, vocalist Judah Akers says:
“I feel like there’s a tendency in our generation to linger in negativity, but that’s not our story as a band or as people. There are moments in all our lives where you need to stay down, but there’s always that time where you need to get up and move forward. It’s the turning point: All this stuff happened, yeah, that was the reality but let’s get up, let’s do something about it, let’s get better.”
The alt-folk/hip hop trio previously saw a wave of success with their last LP, 2016’s aptly titled Folk Hop n’ Roll. That album introduced them to the masses in catchy, genre-blending style with the hit single “Take It All Back.” This time out, they’re ready to take on even more listeners, complete with some key guest appearances from Kacey Musgraves and Jon Bellion.
In the rollout of Pep Talks, Judah & The Lion have shared a lengthy list of worldwide tour dates, ranging from intimate album listening experiences to huge festivals, and everything in between. For the full list of dates and ticketing information, head right here.
