The National share video for “Sleep Well Beast,” announce music festival

The National are continuing in their trajectory of releasing videos for almost every song on their new album Sleep Well Beast. Now, they’ve just shared the title track, which closes out the album. It’s one of the most different sounding songs by the band ever. It’s also one of the most quietly serene songs of the entire year, with it’s looping sounds and a more toned down vocal performance. Check out the video below.

But that’s not the only news from The National today. They’ve also just announced their very own music festival. Titled Homecoming, the new festival will take place April 28 and 29 in their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The festival is in association with MusicNOW, another Cincinnati-based festival that was founded by The National guitarist Bryce Dessner. The National will not only play two different shows over both nights, but the festival will also host over 20 other artists.

Weekend passes for The National’s Homecoming festival will go on sale tomorrow, December 15 at 10 am ET right here.

Sleep Well Beast is out now. Buy it here.
