Placeholder release new track “Joshua” off upcoming album “Synthetic Happiness”

Placeholder (NC) is Jake Thomas, Colman O’Brien, and Nick Lewis. The band began in 2015 under the name Fatsos with former bassist Timmy Emmerich. The band played their first show in April of 2016. They invited guitarist and vocalist Jake Thomas into the band a month later. By August, the group had released their first original song, titled “Figure It Out” on Bandcamp as a single to promote their upcoming EP.
In October of 2016, the band announced that they would be releasing an EP titled Fatsos under the new name Placeholder. Fatsos was released on October 27th, 2016. Timmy Emmerich left the band shortly after, and the band has played with multiple bassists since. Currently, old friend Charles Walker plays bass for their live shows.

Since Fatsos, the band has released one single called “Orange Ceiling” to promote their newest EP, Synthetic Happiness, set to release December 1st, 2017. While they work on putting out new music, Placeholder continues to play numerous shows throughout the southeast.
