The very highly anticipated compilation Songs That Saved My Life by Hopeless Records is finally here. The comp is available for streaming and downloading on all platforms.
The Mission: Songs That Saved My Life is a brand centered around music that played a pivotal role in the lives of artists and fans that benefits mental health and suicide prevention charities. Everyone has music that helped them through a tough time in their life. Songs That Saved My Life aims to engage current artists with cover versions of those songs and share those stories with the world. The charities currently benefiting from this compilation are Crisis Text Line, Hope For The Day, The Trevor Project, and To Write Love On Her Arms.
The Songs That Saved My Life Compilation is centered around four initiatives: comps featuring artists from their community covering a song that has helped them personally through a challenging time in their life, music videos & testimonials from the bands, along with artist-curated video playlists, featuring artists’ testimonials on their cover and limited time artist-curated playlists, and STSML branded merch and collaboration merch with artists, featuring their favorite lyrics.
STSML has curated one, big beautiful testimony to the people that struggled and found solace in the songs that related perfectly to their situations. The first song on the comp is Torn by Neck Deep, one of the best covers of the Natalie Imbruglia song that we’ve ever heard. The next song on the comp is Your Graduation by Stand Atlantic.

Against Me! another one of the featured artists on the compilation recorded their version of People Who Died by Jim Carroll. Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! gives her testimonial on the song and what it means to her.
The sixth track on the charity compilation is Taking Back Sunday’s version of Bullet With Butterfly Wings by The Smashing Pumpkins.

Oceans Ate Alaska recorded their version of Shape of my Heart by Sting.

Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years and Ace Enders collaborated on a cover of Broom People by The Mountain Goats.
