Mountain Man are set to release their sophomore studio album Magic Ship next Friday. The trio of Molly Erin Sarle, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, and Amelia Randall Meath reunited at least year’s Eaux Claires festival after taking an extended break. Because of that reunion, the three decided it was time to write and record a new album. It has been eight year’s since the band’s debut. So it’s a very welcome return to have them all back together again.
Since the album announcement, Mountain Man have dropped a handful of singles from the half hour project. But now you can stream the album in its entirety. NPR is at it once again highlighting Magic Ship as part of their First Listen series. The album itself is a bare yet beautiful collection of tracks from three voices that are rich with depth. Thank you Mountain Man for giving us some music to comfortably wrap ourselves up in, And of course thank you to NPR for gifting us all with an album before we can officially but it.
