Beyoncé and JAY-Z have been teasing a new collaborative album for over a year now, and it has now finally seen the light of day. The new album is titled Everything Is Love and has been released under the name The Carters. The album comes as a fairly big surprise, dropping over the weekend with little fanfare or concrete details leading up to it. The new album has likely been in the works since at least 2016, but the married couple held off on finishing it to each work on their individual solo works.
Everything Is Love completes the circle of album drops from the duo, which began with Beyoncé’s Lemonade back in 2016. JAY-Z’s pseudo follow-up 4:44 released just last June. Both works went on to garner praise for the artists, and work as conversations to one-another. Now that conversation has come to a head with this collaborative LP.
The release of the new album also came alongside a video for album single “APESHIT,” which you can watch right down below. Additionally, The Carters shared a non-album track titled “SALUD!”. As of this writing, Everything Is Love and “SALUD!” are both only available to stream on Tidal. Head here to stream “SALUD!” and right here to stream Everything Is Love.
We can all hope that the album will get a wider release soon (although with the shots fired at Spotify on the LP, I think the best we can hope for is maybe a CD release). But while we wait for that, check out the album details after the video below.
