Mike Doughty

Mike Doughty, the singer, songwriter, producer, author and founder of seminal 90’s band Soul Coughing will be playing their debut LP Ruby Vroom in full across the U.S. in 2019. 

Doughty will be joined on these dates by a cellist, bassist, and guitar player. While they will be performing Ruby Vroom in its entirety, in the original sequence, what the audience experiences will be different each night. “When I was looking for something to do between album cycles I decided to tour Irresistible Bliss in full” explains Doughty. “It was incredibly fun forcing myself to work within that structure. The decisions you make when putting together a set list are different from the ones you make when sequencing a record. This is like performing a single, hour-long piece of music.”

Rather than an exact replication of the studio recording, Doughty plans to use a variety of cues and hand signals to adjust the performance in real time. “Live we turn into a musical super-organism. We’re basically doing a real-time remix of the record at each show” tells Doughty. “It won’t not be a note-for-note performance. I’m very proud of the record we made; it’s the sonic embodiment of lower Manhattan in the early 1990’s. Yet there’s a whole other version of this record that lives in my head. I’m extremely excited to see how it evolves night after night.”

Doughty has released 11 solo albums in the 21st Century, including Haughty Melodic and Stellar Motel, and a memoir, The Book of Drugs (he’s currently writing a second one). He makes electro tracks under the names UUL and Dubious Luxury; his opera Revelation was staged in conjunction with WNYC; he’s currently writing songs with Wayne Kramer from the MC5. He recently posted his 100th weekly new song for his Patreon subscribers. And, finally, he has three improvised-music bands in Memphis, where he lives: Moticos, Baby Men, and Spooky Party.

Most hip-hop stars don’t get their start playing college baseball, but Mike Stud is one MC who used his downtime from the diamond to hone his skills rhyming and rapping. Injured during his final years of schooling, he turned to music. His debut effort, Relief, arrived in 2013. He followed with subsequent official releases, as well as a prolific stream of mixtapes.

Michael Francis Seander, Jr. was born on October 30, 1988 in Providence, Rhode Island. A talented athlete, Seanderlettered in baseball and basketball in high school, and when he graduated from St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, he was named Rhode Island’s 2006 Gatorade Player of the Year, and received a Louisville Slugger scholarship to attend Duke University. An outstanding pitcher, in his freshman year Seander set a record for the lowest ERA in the history of Duke’s baseball program, an impressive 1.61. However, after his second year at Duke, he suffered an arm injury that required surgery, and as he recuperated, he began writing rap lyrics to keep himself occupied. Seander wrote a rap song, ‘College Humor,’ about hard partying and his raunchy exploits with women, and recorded a rough version for his friends and teammates using GarageBand. The song went over well enough that in 2010 Seander produced a video for the song and distributed it under the name Mike Stud; ‘College Humor’ racked up over 1.5 million views on YouTube, and Stud‘s follow-up, ‘In This Life,’ featuring a guest appearance by Loggy, fared even better. In October 2011, Stud‘s first mixtape, A Toast to Tommy, rose to the number two spot on the American iTunes Hip-Hop charts, and his first proper album, Relief, which found him introducing more serious themes along with his bro-centric party dude material, appeared in the spring of 2013. Stud made his major-label debut the following year with Closer, which was released by the Atlantic-distributed 300 Entertainment imprint. Released in July 2014, the album rose to number 13 on the Billboard Top 200, and hit number two on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. In 2015, Stud followed up Closer with an eight-song EP that featured new material as well as remixes of earlier tracks; it was fittingly titled This Isn’t the Album. The album in question arrived in January 2016; These Days included a guest appearance by Marcus Stroman of the Toronto Blue Jays on the title track. Five months later, the Esquire Network debuted the reality series This Is Mike Stud, which followed the rapper at home and on the road as he worked to take his career to the next level.

Volk, The Veldt, Biggins

VOLK is the dynamic duo that roars with a mix of high-octane Rock n Roll, classic Country swagger, and heart-shattering Soul. After cutting their teeth in the dim-lit bars of Europe, VOLK decided to take their music home to the US in Spring 2016.

The Veldt: 
Formed by identical twin brothers singer/guitarist Daniel and guitarist Danny Chavis, and rounded out by drummer Marvin Levi on drums and bassist joesph (hue) boyle, later David Burris, The Veldt quickly became the ‘must see attraction’ of the quirky art-rock scene in Chapel Hill, NC (which also held bands like Superchunk, Polvo and Dillon Fence in its ranks). The Veldt released their first proper record, Marigold’s, on Stardog/Mercury, in 1992. Marigold’s was received well enough to earn the band a much more lucrative contract with Polygram Records. The result was the cult classic Afrodisiac recorded and produced in London, England with Ray Shulman (The Sugarcubes,The Sundays, etc.) at the helm. Afrodisiac’s under current rumblings eventually rose to cause a storm as the band soon found themselves sharing stages with likes of Oasis, The Cocteau Twins, The Pixies, Fishbone, Corrosion Of Conformity and a host of other seminal alternative bands. After two more records, Universe Boat on Yesha Recordings and Love At First Hate on their own imprint, End Of The World Technologies, Danny left the band preceded by Burris who left the music business for a career in film in 1994 (he is currently the producer for CBS’s hit show Survivor). The Veldt continued on in various incarnations until it was put to bed in 1998. After relocating to New York City, Danny and Daniel focused on their new band Apollo Heights. This time around, The Chavis brothers pushed their musical boundaries with more electronica and trip hop influenced back drops to create texture with Daniel’s soulful falsetto croon. Their last recording, White Music For Black People, featured the twins and special guests Mos Def and Lady Miss Kier from Delite fame. TV On The Radio’s David Sitek handled some of the production with Danny and Daniel doing the rest.

Bakalao Stars, Pepe P. & the All Star Latin Band

Depending on who you ask, Bakalao can be either salt cod or Spanish Rave music. But what Charlotte’s Bakalao Stars is serving up is a fresh dish — a blend of reggae, punk, Latin ska and rock in Español.

Colombian native Christian Anzola and his brother, bassist Javier, started the band in ’02. ‘We never had in mind to release CDs or anything, we just wanted to have some fun with music,’ the drummer says.

The band built its sound by incorporating the music of The Skatalites, Jamaica’s signature ska band, with the bass-heavy off-beats of reggae from Peter Tosh and Bob Marley, adding a punky edge with the second wave of ’70s-era ska that featured the sounds of the Specials and UB-40. Topped off with vocals in Spanish, the mix is a lively Caribbean musical stew that goes down easily. Add a penchant for dressing in banana suits, gorilla masks, afros and wide-brimmed Mexican sombreros while the band rips through its original tunes at breakneck speed, and you’ve got a recipe for interactive musical fun that lights up venues.

But getting people to come out to see rock in Español proved difficult at first. ‘There was a lot of people here who liked the music,’ Anzola says, ‘but unfortunately there wasn’t hardly any bands; some of the big names never came to Charlotte.’

The band put out its first album, Peguele Al Trifasico Con Azpero Sumbein, in ’07. Its energetic live performances of songs like ‘Momentos Kodak’ helped fill venues. Although the song is about a girl, Teresa, dumping her fiancé at the last minute, it’s more of a celebration of the Kodak moments they shared than a lament. ‘The chorus is, ‘I’m gonna drink a beer, Teresa, I’m gonna forgive you,” Anzola explains. ‘I’m gonna forgive you by drinking beers and being with my friends.’ The band toasts the ex, with one band member holding up a picture of her as the others raise bottles of beer to a galloping ska beat that incorporates snatches of UB-40s ‘Red Red Wine’ in the mix.

‘Kokoa Brown’ also salutes the ladies, with the band extolling the physical attributes of Latin women. ‘We compare them to the curves of an acoustic guitar,’ Anzola says.

For its latest, Soundcocho, the band has taken a slightly different approach. ‘Sancocho is a traditional soup in Latin America, pretty much a melting pot, a blending of things,’ the drummer says.

Caroline Keller Band, Sugar & Steel

A southern girl with a spirit as fiery as her red hair, Caroline has been pursuing her dream of being a Country music artist from a very early age. She made a name for herself as a Country Gospel singer starting when she was sixteen. She recorded three albums and topped the Country Gospel charts, with four songs ranked in the top ten.

Caroline’s dream had always been in Country music and after spending a short time reflecting and exploring the world of songwriting, it was clear that it was where she needed to be.

She wants to inspire. The music moves her, and she’s a songwriter who understands that the hard parts of life — the parts that stick with you — can’t always be expressed with simple words. Sometimes, you have to put those words into a song.

Now, Caroline has paired with fellow songwriter and touring musicians Scott Spruill and John Christenbury forming the ‘Caroline Keller Band.’ Together they are bringing their Country/Americana music to the people, writing songs that are relatable and relevant. Most recently, the trio was invited to perform at the Sunday Writer’s Night at the prestigious Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN.

An old soul with a young spirit … a dreamer who imagined himself following his father’s path to Nashville … a man’s man with a lifelong love for hunting and country music … and a heartthrob whose wide smile and deep-voiced Louisiana drawl have already turned many a woman’s head.

Even in the tide of hopeful young singers rising daily in Music City, Dylan Scott stands out. It takes just a few seconds to hear why: after Scott’s vocal begins on his single ‘Crazy Over Me,’ intimate, even conversational, and then soars on a rush of buoyant emotion, you know something special is underway.

Not just the single, mind you — we’re talking about a career. Dylan Scott’s respect for traditional country, embrace of multiple modern genres, unique voice and welcoming personality guarantee his success in country music for years to come.

Everything that defines Dylan Scott lies in rural northeastern Louisiana, about 15 minutes from Bastrop, the nearest small town. ‘Growing up in the country is part of my music,’ he says. ‘There were woods near our house. I grew up duck hunting and deer hunting. I went fishing and I played ball. That’s just what we did and who we were.’

What made Scott different was that his father was often out of town and on the road, playing guitar behind Freddy Fender, Freddie Hart, and other country stars. Young Dylan listened attentively to stories of Dad’s adventures on the road and in Nashville, which took shape in his imagination as a kind of Emerald City beyond the horizon.

‘From as far back as I can remember, I wanted to go there,’ Scott says. ‘Even in elementary school, that’s all I thought about. I never thought, ‘Gee, I’d like to be a police officer’ or whatever. There was always this understanding that someday, somehow, I would go to Nashville.’

Dylan Scott’s next big step is just around the corner. Stand by … there’s much more to come.

Off With Your Radiohead (Radiohead Tribute)

Ever since he first heard ‘Creep’ on FM radio as a teenager, Jeff Thompson has been crazy about Radiohead. ‘The Bends’ and ‘OK Computer’ got so much play on his Panasonic boombox in the 90s that the poor machine forgot how to play CDs by other bands. Jeff screamed along with ‘Paranoid Android’ in his college dorm room so many times and so loudly that a psychiatric intervention became necessary. ‘You are not Thom Yorke, Jeff,’ the doctor repeated to him over and over as he flung himself around his padded cell. But Jeff ignored the doctor and called him a ‘Gucci LIttle Piggy.’ He was eventually released, not because he got better, but because the nurses grew exhausted from hearing one too many versions of ‘Fake Plastic Trees’ crooned at them.
So, getting to sorta pretend to be Thom Yorke on stage is not only the fulfillment of a decades long fantasy (delusion) for Jeff, but it’s also a form of therapy for him.
Radiohead is, in Jeff’s opinion, one of the most brilliant, inspirational, and musically innovative bands in the history of rock. Pushing the boundaries of convention rhythmically, melodically, harmonically, lyrically, thematically, and all other words that end with ‘cally,’ they’ve also been fearless pioneers and risk takers in the realms of business and progressive ethics. In short, they do it all, and do it in ways that have never been done before.
Getting to pay tribute to them through the project Jeff calls ‘Off with your Radiohead’ is a high honor for Jeff, and one in which he takes great pride. It is with immense pleasure that he performs the songs of Radiohead to the best of his ability with an assemblage of some of the finest musicians in Western North Carolina—including Aaron Price, Josh and Jake Cavinder, Josh Blake, and Mattick Frick.
It seems unlikely that Jeff will ever actually get to BE Thom Yorke, but don’t tell him that, and come check out an Off With Your Radiohead show. See if he and his bandmates come anywhere near close to pulling it off. We think you’ll be pretty pleased.

Abbey Road Live

Little Bird, The Business People

Born and raised in Annapolis, MD, the Indie band, Little Bird, now hails from Charleston, SC. Little Bird plays a mix of modern R&B and ambient soul. Their 2018 release, ‘Familiar’, reflects the sonic alchemy of a broad range of musical influences such as legendary artists, D’Angelo and Erykah Badu, along with revered modern acts, Hiatus Kaiyote, Fat Freddy’s Drop, and Nick Hakim.

Ron Brendle, a freelance bassist in the Charlotte area has performed and recorded with many notable jazz artists of international stature, including John Abercrombie, Chris Potter, Clark Terry, Hank Crawford, Andrew Hill, Charlie Byrd, Lee Konitz, Charlie Rouse, Mose Allison, Dom Flemons and Frank Kimbrough. 

Ron is also the recipient of two North Carolina Arts Council Jazz Composer Fellowship Grants. 
He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor Degree in music and studied bass with Charlie Haden at the Atlantic Center for the Arts.

In 1998, he joined a singing group who featured on local legend Raheem’s, ‘Most Beautiful Girl.” Shortly after, the group disassembled and Terius Nash was reborn. By 2003, after sharpening his pen and being sought after locally in Atlanta, the Bankhead prodigy would land his first real record on then platinum group B2K, penning the R&B jam ‘Everything.’ This song marked the first time The Dream had been professionally compensated as a Songwriter and earned him his first publishing contract with Peer Music. While Dream saw moderate success in the early 2000’s it was the one record given to the Barbadian princess in 2007 that to this day has been the pivotal record that changed sound and song for his generation. The song was “Umbrella,” a record written along side music legend Tricky Stewart. “Umbrella” would go on to break domestic and international records while on its way to winning the first Grammy for Rihanna and also adding another Gold statue to Shawn “Jay Z” Carter’s discography. This moment in history would pave the way for Terius. He quickly took to the airwaves as a solo artist signing to the LA Reid helmed label Def Jam by Karen Kwak and Shakir Stewart. The Dream was alive and well on his way to the charts lifting two #1 singles ‘Falsetto’ and ‘I Luv Your Girl,’ also adding his first Gold album “Love Hate” within a year. He would go on to win BET’s Best New Artist award in 2008.

In 2009, he would release another Gold album ‘Love vs. Money’ at the same time receiving a Grammy for Song of the Year in Global smash hit ‘Single Ladies’ (Beyoncé). Although he would go on to win more Grammys it was that particular one that instantly turned one of Atlanta’s most talented stars into a Star Maker.  Terius would also go on to win Grammys for “All of the Lights’ (Kanye West, Rihanna) and “No Church In the Wild” (Watch The Throne [Jay Z, Kanye West] feat. The Dream & Frank Ocean). While also breaking artists such as Justin Bieber with the smash hit ‘Baby’ and also breaking Elvis Presley’s record of Number 1’s, with the song “Touch My Body” by Super Star Songstress Mariah Carey. It’s safe to say Nash has secured a place that many covet their entire life, earning him the title and name “The American Dream.”

In February 2017 at the legendary Sun Studios, two sidemen on a recording session bonded over the swinging tendencies in 1950s rock’n’roll music: a transitional era that blends boogie-woogie piano with sassy saxophone in a format that appeals to all-ages dancing. Today, this blend still appeals to a wide variety of audiences, and Harlem River Noise reminds people of this feel-good experience via a thoroughly entertaining live show of original content that features sing-a-longs, instrument-switching, an upside down upright bass, and more TBD on-stage. 
As Harlem-based neighbors, Cody Gibson & Kyle Lacy fortified their alliance along a feel-good path which culminated into a debut album recorded entirely to an expensive reel-to-reel tape machine. In fall ‘17, their debut LP ‘Currents’ delivered 10 original songs to the world. The title references an omnipresent linear flow of electricity in the world: from tape machines to friendly interactions to tributaries, etc,. A two-month record release tour evolved their live show in 2017, and with 161 tour dates in the books for 2018, the group truly thrives on-stage. After releasing the single ‘Irresponsible Days’ in summer ‘18, directly supported by a month-long US-tour, they recorded their 2nd release during the winter months of 2018, scheduled to be released in Spring ‘19.

On her debut album This Time, L.A.-based singer/songwriter Donna Missal shows the elegant collision of elements at play in her music: a poet’s command of tone, a soul singer’s boundless intensity, a bedroom musician’s willful embracing of intimacy and experimentation. Along with channeling the raw passion she first ignited by playing in rock bands in her homeland of New Jersey, This Time expands on the melodic ingenuity displayed in recent singles like “Driving” and “Thrills.” Above all the album is a testament to the sheer force of Missal’s voice, a dynamic but delicate instrument that achieves a beautifully nuanced expression even as she belts her heart out.

With its title taken from a track Missal co-wrote with her frequent collaborator Sharon Van Etten, This Time is an uncompromisingly honest look at living entirely on your own terms. “I’ve spent most of my life being hyper-focused on time, which I think is something that a lot of women obsess over,” says Missal. “We’re in such a rush to make things happen, when really we should take the time to figure out what we actually want out of life. And even though it’s so fucking hard to have that kind of patience, I think it’s so important to believe in yourself enough to let things develop in a way that feels right to you.”

Produced by Tim Anderson (Solange, BANKS, Halsey), This Time matches that defiant spirit with a sound inspired by the rule-bending sensibilities of mixtape culture. Blending elements of soul and hip-hop and rock-and-roll, Missal shaped This Time’s sonic landscape partly by laying live recordings down on tape, then sampling those recordings to imbue her songs with a fresh yet timeless energy. Much of that live recording took place at the iconic Different Fur Studios in San Francisco, with the sessions headed up by Missal and Nate Mercereau (a musician known for his work with Leon Bridges). “I really wanted this album to reference my history of playing in bands,” Missal points out. “It’s all these very pure, talented musicians playing together in a room, but then we took that and sampled it and altered in a way that creates something totally new.”

Gin Blossoms

In late 80’s Gin Blossoms started to grow a huge following as the #1 local music draw in Phoenix and certainly were the hometown hero’s of their favorite hang, Tempe, Arizona. Gin Blossoms indelible jangle-pop sound was evolving during radio’s diverse mix of hair bands and grunge music superstars like Nirvana. After the Phoenix New Times chose them the cities best rock band, they qualified to play at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin Texas in 1989. That same year, College Music Journal dubbed them the “Best Unsigned Band in America” and added an invitation to perform on MTV’s New Music Awards in New York City.

Taking their name from a caption on a W.C. Fields photo, Gin Blossoms signed a record deal with A&M and recorded their first EP “Up And Crumbling” in 1991. But, it was not until their breakout record “New Miserable Experience” in 1992 that their rise to fame began. “New Miserable Experience” kept the band on the charts for almost 3 years with singles “Hey Jealousy,” “Allison Road,” “Until I Fall Away,” “Mrs Rita,” and “Found Out About You.” The album took the airwaves by siege and held MTV hostage with multi cross-over hits in 4 different radio formats. It was this record that rocketed the band into the mainstream going on to sell over 5 million copies making the band a 90’s radio mainstay. In 1995, Robin Wilson, Jesse Valenzuela and veteran composer Marshall Crenshaw wrote the bands 4th of 9 sound track inclusions; “Til I Hear It From You.” The smash hit was released as a Gin Blossoms single and it appeared on the platinum sound track for the film Empire Records.

“In the old days, we used to joke that there was something for everybody in this band,” says Wilson. “There’s just something about the way we play and sound together, but in the end, it’s really about the quality of the songs. If you’re a band and want to sustain a career, no matter what you look like or how you play, you’ve got to have great songs. So it’s those songs and the sound we make…my voice, the guitars, tempos, that add up to something indefinable.”

Over the years, Gin Blossoms have toured over 25 different Countries including a five city tour of Iraq in 2010. “It was so much fun to entertain our troops. It’s really insightful to see first hand how our troops live in a combat zone. It really helped widen my understanding on the sacrifices they make to protect us at home and abroad. I hope all Americans understand how important it is for us to extend our thanks” says Robin.

In February 2017, Gin Blossoms connected with Mitch Easter and Don Dixon to engineer and produce their brand new record, now readying for release in early 2018. The band will perform in over 100 cities and with additional promotional stops, 2017 will make one of the busiest touring years since the mid 90’s.

“We’re entertaining and we have chops,” says Wilson, “but it really comes down to the songs. The reason we’re still here is that we have good songs. When young musicians ask me for advice, what’s the best thing to do to further my career, I always say, write good songs. It always comes down to that.”

From the opening track, the listener is captivated; quickly discovering he or she will not grow tired of the dark, yet beautiful sound with his effortless voice placed in front of melodic instrumentation. This unique and accessible sound stands on its own.

Heather Himes is known around the Queen City as the leader of Dust & Ashes and The Tales of Woe. Himes’ songwriting is inspired by Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Ryan Bingham, Brandi Carlile, Scott Avett, Dallas Green and James Vincent McMorrow, among others. Dust & Ashes is an Americana/Folk quartet hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina. Their dynamic range combines the intensity of wall-of-sound-barn-burners with the sincere intimacy of heartfelt ballads. This all female group exploded onto the local music scene in 2014 with their fresh take on folk music, a genre which their fans affectionately nicknamed “Swamp Stomp.” Lush vocal harmonies, heavy rhythms, and unique instrumentation (including cajón, musical saw, banjo, flute, viola, and myriad auxiliary percussion) support the traditional acoustic guitar played by Heather Himes, the band’s gender queer lead.

Sparkman is an acoustic guitar-based alternative rock power trio from Charlotte, NC. Known for their musicality and captivating live performances, the band has emerged as a must-see up-and-coming act. The trio, consisting of Chris Vercauteren (Guitar/Vocals), Brandon Clayton (Drums), and Taylor West (Bass), has built a dedicated local following playing venues such as the Visulite, Evening Muse, and Sofar Charlotte. 

Their musical influences range from modern day singer/songwriters (Dave Matthews, John Mayer, James Bay) to alternative rock giants (Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys). Although their music centers around the acoustic guitar, heavy drum beats combined with punchy bass riffs and catchy vocal melodies give the band a very powerful and well-rounded sound. Their songs are simple in structure and instrumentation, yet each member has a unique approach to their instrument/voice that keeps them refreshing and engaging.

Chris Larkin is an alternative artist from Raleigh, NC, with a live band trio rounded out by Michael Hudson (bass) and Alan Asby (drums) since late 2017. After independently releasing his debut album Honest in March 2018, the trio is bringing songs from that release and a collection of newly written songs to their live set. The group draws influence from acts such as The Neighborhood, Hozier, and Cage The Elephant. With different musical backgrounds and influences spanning through the trio, the combination results in a high-energy set full of carefully crafted pop-rock songs.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

An MC perfectly styled for the age of Future and Desiigner, Bronx rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie hit the scene in 2016 with a funkier version of trap rap. Born Artist Dubose in Highbridge, the Bronx native spent some time in Florida before returning home and taking his music seriously.

 

That was 2015; in early 2016 he uploaded his first tracks to the Net. In March, he dropped his debut mixtape, Artist, while April saw him drop ‘Bag on Me’ featuring Don Q. With a Meek Mill and DJ Khaled co-sign soon after, and the Highbridge the Label mixtape released in May, the Atlantic label signed a deal with Highbridge and issued the singles ‘Bando’ and ‘My S**t’ in July. EP TBA followed in October.

 

At the start of 2017 Boogie was featured in XXL’s Freshman Class Of feature. Later the same year, he released his debut full-length, The Bigger Artist, which was packed with guests, including appearances from Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Kodak Black, and Robin Thicke. ~ David Jeffries

Future Thieves

Future Thieves was formed in late 2013 after a timely split between former bands. Elliot Collett (vocals, guitars, keys) enlisted band members Gianni Gibson (drums) and Nick Goss (bass, keys, bgvs) to play along with recordings done in Los Angeles in the months prior. Austin McCool (guitars) quickly joined rank, after playing with Collett and Goss in various projects. Future Thieves began writing, recording, and touring the United States in 2014.

The band quickly formed a distinct sound, blending alternative pop vocal melodies with driving guitars and intricate rhythms. Their debut LP Horizon Line was released independently on October 23, 2015, and the song “Horizon Line” landed at #26 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart. Future Thieves spent the next year and change spreading their music in venues all across the States and Europe, hitting major festivals including Loufest, Bonnaroo, Summerfest, SXSW, Forecastle, Live on the Green, and WAM along the way. Live At Blue Rock was recorded in Wimberley, TX and released on January 13, 2017. From these live recordings, “Ghosts” was exclusively showcased on TeamCOCO.com. The band quickly released the stand-alone single and video for “Sucker” as an indication of what was to come. Featuring smooth synths and guitar-driven pop, Collett’s vocal melody demanded center stage. The song was premiered on Billboard.com and AltPress.com, and the video was exclusively streamed with Jimmy Fallon.

Future Thieves wrote and recorded the well-anticipated follow up to Horizon Line throughout 2017. The second full-length album is slated for release in the earlier half of 2018.

A Fragile Tomorrow began as a trio of teen brothers who rose above a difficult, tragedy-laden childhood and channeled their emotions into smart, catchy, dreamy pop music. Having released five independent albums, the band has toured extensively in the U.S., Europe, and Israel with artists such as Indigo Girls, Matthew Sweet, The Bangles, K’s Choice, and Toad The Wet Sprocket. A Fragile Tomorrow’s upcoming album, Generation Loss – slated for release on MPress Records on February 22nd, 2019 – is a quasi-psychedelic pop soundscape touching upon themes of loss and regeneration in our questioning, chaotic social times. The first single and video, “Dig Me Out”, premiered with The Pop Break magazine. The band will hit the road early in 2019 in support of the release.
