Brighton singer Libby Whitehouse is a rising star in the pop music scene. Last year she emerged with a string of singles, which racked up millions of streams. And today, the 18 year old newcomer has shared a video for her newest single “New Boy.” The video features Whitehouse dancing to her infectious grooves with balloons and sporadic colorful animation. The track itself is also yet another cementing of her as a voice that reaches up and takes hold of your ears.
Speaking about both the song “New Boy” and its new video, Libby Whitehouse said:
“I wrote ‘New Boy’ about my friend who kept going back to a boy who treated her badly, and he’d only become interested again once she’d left him. The song is a fun way of saying, “Well now it’s too late!”, and is about appreciating what you have whilst you have it, because girls won’t wait around forever!!
I’m so excited about the video for ‘New Boy’, it’s the first music video I’ve ever made and I’m so happy with how everything came together. I think it represents the song really well. I hope everyone has as much fun watching it as I did filming it!”
